Hadith Shafi'i Fiqh
Shafi'i hadith master, author of al-Sunan al-Kubra and Shu'ab al-Iman.
Al-Bayhaqi was a student of al-Hakim and spent most of his life in the Bayhaq region of Khurasan, producing a huge body of work. Al-Juwayni said that every Shafi'i owes a debt to al-Shafi'i except al-Bayhaqi, to whom al-Shafi'i owes a debt, because al-Bayhaqi had so thoroughly supported the school with hadith evidence.
His al-Sunan al-Kubra gathers the evidence for Shafi'i law, Shu'ab al-Iman explains the branches of faith, and Dala'il al-Nubuwwah collects the signs of prophethood.
