Prophets Named in the Quran
Son of Dawud, given a kingdom like no other, with command over the wind and the jinn.
Sulayman inherited prophethood and kingship from his father Dawud. Allah taught him the speech of birds and placed the wind, the jinn and the animals under his command. The Quran tells of the ant that warned its colony of his approaching army, and of the hoopoe that brought news of the Queen of Saba', who later submitted to Allah with him.
Despite his unmatched kingdom, the Quran presents him as a grateful servant who constantly turned to Allah.
