Prophets Named in the Quran
Called his people to Allah for 950 years; saved in the Ark from the Flood.
Nuh called his people to worship Allah alone for nine hundred and fifty years, but only a few believed. Commanded to build the Ark, he was mocked by his people, including one of his own sons. When the Flood came, Allah saved Nuh and the believers with him, and the Ark came to rest on al-Judi.
Nuh is one of the five Ulu al-'Azm, the prophets of firm resolve, along with Ibrahim, Musa, 'Isa and Muhammad ﷺ. A whole surah of the Quran bears his name.
