Prophets Named in the Quran
Son of Ibrahim and Sarah, born in their old age as glad tidings from Allah.
The angels on their way to the people of Lut stopped at Ibrahim's house and gave him and his elderly wife Sarah the good news of a son, Ishaq, and after him a grandson, Ya'qub. Sarah laughed in wonder that she would bear a child in her old age.
Ishaq was made a prophet and one of the righteous. Through his son Ya'qub came the long line of prophets of the Children of Israel, including Musa, Dawud, Sulayman and 'Isa.
